Monitoring of the radiation status of the environment and ensuring radiation safety

I am sure that the Second Committee and the Economic and Social Council will continue to carry out that monitoring.

Ad Hoc Committee on the Scope of Legal Protection under the Convention on the Safety of United Nations and Associated Personnel

We thank the Committee's Monitoring Team, which has made a critical contribution to the action and the thinking of the Committee.

He therefore urged States parties to present their reports without delay in order to enhance the monitoring function of the Committee.

The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research and the Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programmes organized a workshop on biological monitoring.

I should also like to report that the Monitoring Team has continued to provide essential support to the work of the Committee.

The Committee is also considering the possibility of collective regional reporting and has asked the Monitoring Team to further examine this option.

The Committee, assisted by the Monitoring Team, has continued to encourage States to submit names for possible inclusion on the Consolidated List.
