For who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? or who will bemoan you? or who will turn aside to ask of your welfare?

For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest?

You ALWAYS have to put your safety first and don't think twice about leaving any place where someone has a weapon.

You shall make an altar of earth for me, and shall sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your cattle. In every place where I record my name I will come to you and I will bless you.

In Syria today, if you don't feel threatened and worried about your safety and if your friends don't pull you aside and express their concerns and fears for you regarding what you write, you need to ask yourself about the basic concessions you had to make out of fear and about whose plights, amongst those being treated with injustice, you have decided to ignore and look the other way.
