(b) Strengthening of the Office of Internal Oversight Services

(i) Support for the African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child

In December 2002, Children's Services announced a three part Child Care Initiative intended to strengthen standards and best practices for child care and to help children have a healthy start in life and provide them the support needed to reach their potential.

(i) Support to water supply and sanitation services

(e) Ensure that adolescents have access to child sensitive and confidential counselling services

The Quality Improvement Funding Support Program offers financial assistance to assist child day care facilities to improve the availability and quality of child care services.

The programme is promoting the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to make enterprises, in particular SMEs, better fit for the e economy and increase their competitiveness.

The Income and Employment Supports Act also provided full legislative authority for the Child Support Services Program, through which the Alberta government helps single parents and parents living in blended families get the legal agreements or court orders they need to obtain child support.

23.73 Programme support services are provided by the Administration and Management Service.

Despite being understaffed, the Section adequately serviced the trials and other support activities.

Two of these prisoner support services are tailored to specifically address the needs of indigenous women.

ECD dollars have also been used to enhance Child Day Care Services.

The government also produced a set of child care service guides in areas such as child safety, health and education.

Since these reforms most of the 'garrison' support services at military bases have been provided by private firms.

(e) Capacity building services to support the increased competitiveness of the industrial sector.

To help protect women's childbearing and reproductive rights, the Government encouraged the creation of childcare services within the workplace.

It has an integrated child development program in the red light areas of Kolkata as well as a support group for women in prostitution.

The goal should be to foster private sector investment to provide efficient logistics services.

In December 2001, the Department of Family and Community Services launched the Children's Support Program (Child Witness of Family Violence).

r) Make adequate provisions for child care services and formulate policies that will enable parents to balance family responsibility with work responsibilities

Through intensive capacity building and advocacy, these partnerships have helped to strengthen the provision of preventive and protective services, for example, by the creation or reform of juvenile justice systems, as well as supporting community led efforts to keep children safe, such as local child protection and peer education networks.

Building on its long history of supply support, both within country programmes and increasingly as procurement services support, UNICEF will offer a mix of programme and procurement services to Governments as a unified basket of support.

Efforts must be supported to enable the effective engagement of families and communities in all stages of children's survival, growth and development.

Before delivering any service to the rural women, the RSPs organize them into Women Community Organizations.

The Division of Court Services has developed the necessary structures to guarantee organizational support for courtroom hearings the receipt, recording and distribution of information and translation and interpretation services for the whole Court.

Furthermore, the Committee requested information on the childcare services available for workers with family responsibilities having children older than 5 years old.

UNICEF is playing an important role in supporting the design and scaling up of voluntary confidential counselling and testing services.

d) Application and mainstreaming of CRC including dissemination of information in schools and the community on the rights of the child, participation of children in decision making, learning support centres, a child's right to play and access to recreational facilities

Hong Kong Pre primary Services in Hong Kong refers to provision of education and care to young children by kindergartens and child care centres.

(c) End user support on the effective use of computers through help desk services and training of staff

The Registry has strengthened the Court's public information capacity in order to support the implementation of outreach services in the countries where the Court is active.

They also provide other support services, such as referrals, crisis counselling, group awareness raising, community education and the production of publications and resources.

(h) UNICEF works to support the capacities of parents and legal guardians as those with rights, duties and primary responsibility for the child, and promotes the role of families as the fundamental group of society and the natural environment for the growth, well being and happiness of children.

Procurement services are expected to make especially critical contributions to key results for young child survival and combating HIV AIDS and malaria.

The plan also facilitates UNICEF support for cross sectoral and interlinked approaches to major issues affecting children and to the child related international goals.

(d) Supporting targeted investments in infrastructure that would establish the physical foundation for the operation of Internet services and pave the way for commercial and development applications

The Advancing Futures Bursary Program was established in November 2003, to assist those who have, or continue to be, under the care of Children's Services.

Two important studies have been carried out on child care services. One was produced by the Institut de statistique du Québec in collaboration with the Ministère de l'Emploi, de la Solidarité sociale et de la Famille, entitled Grandir en qualité .

These activities are focused in four key areas health and wellness and risk prevention parenting and family supports child development and community support and community building.
