NEEDS ASSESSMENT FOR THE Eleventh SESSION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES of the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund ON CONTEMPORARY FORMS OF SLAVERY

Following the end of UNODC's first programme cycle in the Islamic Republic of Iran in 2004, a comprehensive evaluation was completed in 2005.

In response to Assembly resolution 57 174, the Secretary General prepared in 2003 a report containing a quinquennial evaluation of the implementation of the outcome of the twentieth special session (A 58 253).

While it is not possible to assess the impact of these structural measures, the majority of reporting Governments have taken steps to implement the action envisaged in this regard at the twentieth special session of the General Assembly.
