Cooperation with Our Development Partners

We are determined to continue working with our African partners.

The European Union remains committed to working with our partners to maintain the momentum of this process.

Now we're going to talk about our partners.

With our development partners, we are therefore striving to reinvigorate our cooperation and redirect it towards the well being of our people.

Together with our partners in the European Community we have called for the creation of a post of coordinator for humanitarian assistance.

Our attitude in this respect matches that of our main partners in Latin America.

France is now trying to make progress in those areas with our European Union partners.

We are determined to continue to work with our development partners to achieve those objectives.

We were pleased at our partners' response to this document.

We in Ireland stand ready to play our part, together with our partners in the European Community.

We also need an ongoing dialogue with our partners to readjust the allocation of those resources in the light of our development needs.

We look forward to cooperating with our island partners on the implementation of the important outcomes of this Conference.

We want to increase our development aid, and we have agreed with our European partners on a step by step plan until 2015 to that end.

Yet consultations with our partners since the beginning of this session have confirmed our feeling that they have adopted a new approach to the speedy establishment of the diversification fund.

And many of our partners bring valuable capabilities and expertise to our operations.

And yet we do not doubt the wisdom of our negotiating partners.

It is this merging of our self with divinity that is the lesson and purpose of our spiritual path and all of our faith traditions.

To eradicate this scourge, we are now taking further steps through the adoption of economic and social programmes, in cooperation with our bilateral and multilateral development partners.

I don't want to reach the destination that some of our partners may aspire to.

Moreover, the commitment of our developed partners to resolve the problems of indebtedness of African countries is another example of solidarity with our African brethren that we welcome.

It is now the pre eminent political grouping in our part of the world and has a formal ministerial dialogue process annually with our major international partners.

We are strongly committed to the fight against poverty, to working with African countries and institutions and together with our international partners to promoting a reform agenda that can bring about positive changes for the people of Africa.

We believe that respect for these principles will not only strengthen the determination of the Government of our country to implement a foreign policy in keeping with the demands of its domestic policy but also foster harmonious relations with our foreign partners.

We are also currently playing an active role, together with our partners, in promoting the Ottawa Convention in our region and will continue to do so, as we attach great importance to achieving the universality of the Convention.
