The programme is promoting the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) to make enterprises, in particular SMEs, better fit for the e economy and increase their competitiveness.

Building on its long history of supply support, both within country programmes and increasingly as procurement services support, UNICEF will offer a mix of programme and procurement services to Governments as a unified basket of support.

Division of Programme Support

To date, the activities of OIOS have concentrated on the preparation of mandated reports, the conduct of programme monitoring and limited support to results based management.

UNICEF interventions focus on expanding programmes that promote improved hygiene and sanitation, while maintaining support for improved water supply services.

This would entail using reintegration and other economic programs as a carrot to support the negotiations, and would also support peace and stability in the long run.

Since these reforms most of the 'garrison' support services at military bases have been provided by private firms.

(e) Capacity building services to support the increased competitiveness of the industrial sector.

Management and administration expenditures were 92 million and programme support 164 million.

Some of these countries need support to update their NAPs and implement their priority areas of action.
