The importance of the review of the agenda of the Conference was addressed by delegations in plenary meetings.

The Conference adopted the following agenda, on the basis of the provisional agenda contained in document UNEP FAO RC COP.2 1

Following action taken by the Plenary of the Conference at its first meeting on 18 January 2005, the agenda of the Conference is as follows

Now I shall read the statement In connection with the adoption of the agenda, I, as the President of the Conference, should like to state that it is my understanding that if there is a consensus in the Conference to deal with any issues, they could be dealt with within this agenda.

The General Conference at its eleventh session will have to establish a scale of assessments for the years 2006 and 2007.

Having approved the Agenda, the Conference went on to adopt the Rules of Procedure (CZLAN CONF.2). The General Secretary reminded the delegates that, in accordance with Rule 3 of the Rules of Procedure, the Bureau of the Conference would be made up of a President, 3 Vice Presidents and a Rapporteur.

Under agenda item 7, the Conference will consider a proposal for the identification of official contact points for Governments and observers.

It is recommended that the Eleventh Congress adopt the provisional agenda, as contained in document A CONF.203 1.

Stressing the urgent need for the Conference to commence substantive work on its agreed agenda items at this juncture,

The WTO Ministerial Conference in Hong Kong will be a critical milestone in the process of the negotiations on the Doha Development Agenda.

It will be followed by an informal plenary meeting on the Conference's agenda and other issues related to its work, and I will have the full day available for you at that time.

Finally, I invite the Assembly's attention to agenda item 159, entitled Observer status for the Ibero American Conference in the General Assembly .

In accordance with Article 9.4 (g) of the Constitution, the Board prepares the provisional agenda for each session of the General Conference.

Our first task is the adoption of our agenda for this year, and we believe that it should be possible for the Conference to adopt the same agenda, based on the Decalogue, which we adopted at the beginning of 2004.

The Programme of Action stated that the estimates should be reviewed and updated on the basis of a comprehensive approach as outlined in the Cairo agenda.

Following considerable discussion on the optimal duration and possible dates of the third session of the Conference, the Conference adopted the draft provisional agenda contained in annex I.

A high level segment will be held during the last three days of the Eleventh Congress to allow Heads of State or Government, government ministers or other high level representatives to focus on the main substantive agenda items of the Congress.

Note Pursuant to resolution 13 31 P on the review and rationalization of agenda items and resolutions of OIC, all resolutions previously adopted by the Conference of Foreign Ministers are considered to be in force and are not listed on a regular basis.

The provisional agenda had been prepared in agreement with the President of the COP at its tenth session, taking into account views expressed by Parties during the twenty second session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) and by members of the Bureau of the COP.
