Or have they a stairway ( to heaven ) , by means of which they listen ( to the talks of the angels ) ? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof .

Or do they have a stairway by means of which they listen ? Then let their listener produce a clear proof .

Or do they have a ladder whereon they can climb and attempt to listen ( to what is transpiring in the Higher Realm ) ? Then , let any of them who has listened to it produce a clear proof of it .

Or have they any stairway ( unto heaven ) by means of which they overhear ( decrees ) . Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest !

Do they have a ladder leading up to heaven whereby they eavesdrop ? If so , let their eavesdropper produce a manifest authority .

Or , do they have a ladder on which they listen ? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority .

Or have they a stairway into the heaven upon which they listen ? Then let their listener produce a clear authority .

Do they have a ladder ( by which they can climb up to the heavens ) and listen ( to the angels ) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority ?

Or have they the means by which they listen ? Then let their listener bring a clear authority .

Have they a ladder up to heaven by means of which they can overhear ? Then let their listeners bring a clear proof .

Or have they a ladder , by which they can ( climb up to heaven and ) listen ( to its secrets ) ? Then let ( such a ) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof .

And indeed We have left thereof an evident Ayah ( a lesson and a warning and a sign the place where the Dead Sea is now in Palestine ) for a folk who understand .

And We left behind a clear trace of it , for people who understand .

And We have left a vestige of it in that city as a Clear Sign for a people who use their reason .

And verily of that We have left a clear sign for people who have sense .

Certainly We have left of it a manifest sign for people who exercise their reason .

Indeed , We left a clear sign for a nation that understands .

And We have certainly left of it a sign as clear evidence for a people who use reason .

We left manifest evidence ( of the truth ) there for the people of understanding .

And certainly We have left a clear sign of it for a people who understand .

Surely the ruins We left of that city are a clear sign for a people who use their reason .

And We have left thereof an evident Sign , for any people who ( care to ) understand .
