Facilitation of partnership building

Partnership building promotes sharing public service delivery responsibility and achievement, a quality that empowers civil society.

The present report has described advances made in networking activities, including building partnerships and sharing good practices.

More specifically, it sought to review and identify effective strategies for building development partnerships for realizing the right to development.

Building of partnerships for the implementation of the NAP process is one of the central provisions of the Convention and its regional implementation annexes.

Partnership building is progressing on the basis of existing coordination mechanisms, although consistency in these partnership models has yet to be achieved and assistance by cooperation agencies often does not link up with NAP initiatives.
