The picture I'm about to show you is a compelling picture.

But really the most significant thing, the most profound thing about this picture is that it was taken two days before I was completely paralyzed from the neck down.

And what I'm most interested in is the invisible space between a text and its accompanying image, and how the image is transformed by the text and the text by the image.
