E. Social service provision

Social services provision in Bosnia and Herzegovina is done, mainly, through local social services activities, called social care centres .

Some countries have either reformed or expanded their provision of social services.

Consultation and social support Immediate provision of specialized information services, consultation and social support to women victims of trafficking, aiming at their social and, mainly, labour integration.

The welfare reform reinforced an ongoing shift towards regional, rather than central, provision of social support and social services for different vulnerable groups.

18.9 The ESCWA member countries are confronted by political instability, an imbalance in the provision of basic social services between urban and rural areas and between the different social strata and widening disparities in income distribution, associated with increasing poverty and unemployment.
