A first step would be regular submission of article VI reports, as agreed at the 2000 Conference.

This Article also states that the COP MOP shall determine the frequency of submission of national communications, taking into account any timetable for submission of national communications decided upon by the COP.

For instance, substantial changes to tenders after submission, including to their price, and disclosure of tender information, are prohibited (article 34(1)(a) and (8)).

C. Action taken by the Committee to ensure submission of reports by States parties At its sixty sixth and sixty seventh sessions, the Committee reviewed the question of delays and non submission of reports by States parties in accordance with their obligations under article 9 of the Convention.

The Committee recalled that, while the submission of a payment plan should be taken into account as one factor when requests for exemption under Article 19 are considered by the Committee on Contributions and the General Assembly, the submission of a plan was not automatically linked to exemption.

As regards paragraph (1) ter, it was noted that accessibility standards as they apply to the submission of tenders could be accommodated in article 30 of the Model Law.
