Consequently, Governments have been focusing on preventive measures to avoid arbitrary arrests by providing police with training on human rights standards for arrest and detention.

7.7 In relation to the alleged violation of the right to be free from arbitrary arrest and detention, it is uncontested that the author was arrested without a warrant.
