Some countries are also trying to develop horticulture and agro forestry.

But problems at the top of the food system must be addressed as well.

(e) Europe and the NIS The region has a significant potential for developing the agro industrial sector.

We have to make the food system work for all citizens, which requires stronger action from each of these actors.

This is a sophisticated system as a continuous cycle of water, waste and food...with man built into the picture.

In turn, this can spur sustainable non farm employment growth in services, agro processing, and small scale manufacturing.

Agro ecology points to solutions, but strong support from governments is needed to scale up existing best practices.

Since most plantations use harmful agro chemicals, the children working on them are directly exposed to these threats.

Many of the geographically disadvantaged countries suffer from adverse agro climatic conditions and are susceptible to natural disasters.
