The Working Group heard that a joint meeting of experts of Working Group III on transport law and of Working Group IV on electronic commerce was held in February 2005.

The Working Group adopted its report ad referendum at its 20th plenary meeting, on 11 February 2005.

At the meeting with the working group on transition issues, the Group was briefed by Ms. Margareta Wahlstrom, Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator, returning from Burundi.

As mentioned in paragraph above, at its 711th meeting, on 4 April, the Subcommittee reconvened its Working Group on agenda item 8 and elected Vladimír Kopal (Czech Republic) as Chairman of the Working Group.

Working methods of the Working Group

Takes note of the recommendations contained in the report of the Second Meeting of the aforementioned Experts Group, in particular setting up of a working group.

At its meeting, on March, the Subcommittee endorsed the recommendations of the Working Group of the Whole concerning implementation of the recommendations of UNISPACE III, as contained in the report of the Working Group (see annex ).

The Subcommittee therefore agreed, at its 714th meeting, on 5 April, to suspend the Working Group on agenda item 4 and to reconvene the Working Group at the forty fifth session of the Subcommittee, in 2006.

Working Group Meeting Between the world conferences, several working group meetings have been convened in order to deliberate further on some designated topics by experts in the region and experts from the concerned United Nations bodies.

At the same meeting, the representative of Norway, in his capacity as Rapporteur of the Working Group on the Financing of UNRWA, introduced the report of the Working Group (see A C.4 60 SR.20).
