Numbered accounts are not allowed in the Brazilian Financial System.

A milestone was passed with the finalization of the 1993 System of National Accounts.

This system supports UNOPS accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing fixed asset, project accounting, general ledger, payroll, and human resource functions.

33. In countries with a socialist type economy, the system of national accounts used was the system of balances of the national economy.

The Department apos s methodological contributions are reflected in the 1993 System of National Accounts.

3. Implementation of the 1993 System of National Accounts (1993 SNA) and plans for further essential research.

This system is based on material product accounts, derived from Marxist economic theory.

Unlike previous work on national accounts, the new system should be universally applicable.

This accounts for the impression of a highly decentralized system for which there is no legal foundation.

The report describes progress on work completed in the updating of the System of National Accounts, 1993 (1993 SNA).

Comment by the Administration. The Finance Section has instituted measures to ensure that the accounts receivable and accounts payable are separated and posted in the respective accounts when first entering transactions in the accounting system.

The Statistical Commission is requested to comment on the overall progress in the updating of the System of National Accounts, 1993 (1993 SNA).

(b) Statistical development and quantitative analysis in this area, preparations continued for the adoption of the new System of National Accounts (Rev.4).

The framework of the 1993 System of National Accounts should be seen as the umbrella framework ensuring the overall conceptual coherence of economic statistics.

The Treasury staff members in charge of the bank accounts and cash books also recorded the transactions in the accounting system (MSRP).
