Millennium Development Goals our commitments

It is our strong belief that through fostering global commercial and cultural connections we are in support of the United Nations goals.

For our part, the World Conservation Union will continue to support the multilateral process with all our energy and will therefore support the Millennium Development Goals by bringing the best knowledge and science available to decision making today.

We need to set our goals and monitor our performance.

The interdependence of the concepts of development, peace and security is the basis of our country's support for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Stronger nations must show transparent and genuine leadership in engendering majority support for our universal goals for the common good of all humanity.

In our opinion, the world community should consider the question of additional support to mountainous developing countries for the realization of sustainable development goals.

Assisting the capacity of the Government to implement the Millennium Development Goals and the World Programme of Action on Youth is, in the end, to support our youth.

But many of the potential new goals lack unanimous support, and adding a lot of new goals or goals that are not easily measurable may sap momentum.

They deserve our continuing interest, our help and our support.

We will continue to do our share to achieve the goals that are our common responsibility.

Achievement of the Goals that we set is within our grasp.

The Millennium Development Goals are a set of goals to ensure development, peace and security, and human rights for our peoples.

We are on target with our Millennium Development Goals on poverty reduction.

Thirdly, I suggest better prioritization in our strategy to achieve these goals.

It is critical that such plans focus on support for achievement of the Goals.

Such rapid steps would provide a critical support for national Millennium Development Goals strategies.

Support by the G 8 will help African countries achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

Japan is resolved to continue its support for achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

All in all, the progress we have made gives us reason to be optimistic that, with the enhanced support of our development partners, we can attain the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.

The goals and targets agreed to at that forum both vindicate and validate the development initiatives that we have been pursuing since the late 1980s, with the support of our development partners.

The Rio Group countries are pooling our efforts to reach the Millennium Development Goals, because we believe those Goals also address young people.

They deserve our protection and support.

The situation in Afghanistan demonstrates America's goals, and our need to work together.

We have the means to take constructive action to achieve our common goals.

We should never renege on our commitments to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

Regarding development, I wish to reiterate our call to fulfil the Millennium Goals.

It also reaffirms our commitment to achieving the Millennium Development Goals by 2015.

United Nations Member States must continue to support efforts to attain the Millennium Development Goals.

We have come here to reaffirm our determination to speed up our national efforts towards reaching the Millennium Development Goals.

We are therefore happy that regional mechanisms are ensuring political support for the goals of the special session, and we would be more than willing to share experiences and best practices with our neighbours.

While Goals should remain the focus of our priorities, the Summit Outcome also refers to the integrated follow up of the major conferences, which remain important areas for United Nations support for development activities.

Those two facts require us to make a quantum leap in our commitment, in our goals and in our action in tackling this terrible epidemic.

Our support is without prejudice to our historical position on the veto.

It is well within our grasp to make the Millennium Development Goals a reality.

It weakens the document, which does not live up to our expectations and goals.

Our neighborhood policy needs support, not criticism.

You can always rely on our support.

Our economies are still on life support.
