Prepared job descriptions for staff members in the Section, recruited staff as required and ensured compliance with administrative requirements.

For that purpose he shall appoint such staff as may be required.

Nearly all the staff required for the division was recruited in 2004.

4. Requests the Secretary General to continue to provide the staff required to serve as secretariat for the congresses and the regional preparatory meetings for the congresses

I intend to continue this training to ensure that the United Nations has a solid cadre of versatile and well trained public information staff available when required.

The Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC shall arrange for the provision of staff and services required for the servicing of the Executive Board from within available resources.

The Secretary General has defined the conditions, through staff rules 112.3, 212.2 and 312.2, under which staff members may be required to reimburse the United Nations, either partially or in full, for any financial loss suffered by the Organization as a result of the staff member's gross negligence or violation of the regulations and procedures.

The Chief Executive Officer also serves as Secretary of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Board, its Standing Committee, the Committee of Actuaries and the United Nations Staff Pension Committee, and is responsible for the organization and servicing of those bodies, as well as the required documentation.

Comment by the Administration. UNICEF is of the view that the application and administration of staff entitlements are within the broad framework of the United Nations Staff Regulations and Rules, taking into account the operational flexibility required to meet the overall goals and objectives of the Organization.

17. Calls upon the Secretary General to ensure that the Working Group and the independent expert receive all necessary assistance, in particular the staff and resources required to fulfil their mandates

Manages the buildings and services required by the Mission for offices, shops and housing accommodation for military staff plans, organizes and controls Central Registry, Mail Claims, Inventory Control, and related services.

Staff will be required to complete a new downloadable content module on integrity and ethics provisions for self training that has now been completed in the form of a CD ROM.

These required financial resources are to be mobilized from current and potential donors and sources of funds in consultation and cooperation with other UNIDO staff depending on the source of funds.

As a result of the need to produce business results, UNIDO staff members are faced with increased expectations and are required to produce greater results, working more efficiently with less resources.

Although the Advisory Committee felt that it was good for experienced staff to be mobile and to be available to meet the requirements of new missions, the situation should be monitored in order to avoid disruption in the Mission's activities and ways found to retain required experienced staff.

Further resources are required to allow staff the time to undertake on the job training in order to improve performance levels without the normal work of the Unit coming to a stop.
