Higher vocational education in the country is performed on the basis of general secondary, beginning vocational and secondary vocational education, and colleges of higher vocational schools and in State institutions of higher vocational education, including private institutions.

About 300 institutes of higher education offer two to three years of post secondary vocational or technical training.

Secondary vocational education. In secondary vocational institutions (training schools, technical schools and colleges, and other educational institutions equivalent to them), citizens may obtain a specialty on the basis of general basic, general secondary and beginning vocational education.

In 2003 2004 as many as 5798 female and 11 322 male students were acquiring secondary vocational education.

In senior secondary, post secondary and tertiary education, females have yet to meet the positive achievements made in the junior levels of education.

Vocational training for graduates of special education institutions is based on a list of vocational training areas and specialties that correspond to those categories of students, and is performed in special schools or in conventional schools of the system of beginning vocational and secondary vocational education.

In 2002, the rates of female enrolments varied at different levels of education 18.70 for PhD 57.4 for post graduation 11.8 for under graduation 40.8 for secondary and 13.4 for vocational training.

Formal education is delivered through a structured education system from pre primary to post secondary levels.

About 40 of British students go on to post secondary education (18 ).

Women have also consolidated their majority in post secondary education (Figure 54).

It is recommended to the Ministry of Education to introduce broad vocational skills in the curricula of general secondary schools.

In terms of the secondary vocational education, a European Union project titled the EU VET programme is currently under implementation.

In the academic year 2003 2004 there were 627 full time educational institutions providing general education, 38 educational institutions providing evening courses or distance learning, and 71 educational institutions providing vocational, higher vocational or specialised secondary education.
