Of the total required, 300 will be a combination of staff members provided by other United Nations agencies, local diplomats and some staff members assigned to ONUMOZ.

Of this amount, approximately 1,076,160 has been recovered these cases involved staff members and non staff members. Disciplinary action in the form of summary dismissal was taken against some of the staff members and other cases are still under investigation.

1.187 All OTSD staff members will have participated in a professional staff development programme and 27 staff members will have obtained international certificates in procurement practices.

Out of 7,825 cases, 122 post numbers were found encumbered by 2 different staff members and 8 by 3 staff members.

(iii) With respect to all other staff members and all other former staff members, it shall be the Board established in New York, provided that the Secretary General may decide, at the request of the staff member, to refer the appeal to another one of the Boards or to establish an appropriate ad hoc body.

The incumbent would also assist in the other committee servicing functions of the Office, allowing other staff members to carry out scientific and technical work.
