My delegation would like to thank the Danish presidency for convening this timely and very important meeting and for the submission of the focused discussion paper for today's debate.

The object of today's meeting is, inter alia, discussion of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) in general.

At the 2nd meeting, major groups engaged in an interactive discussion with Governments, outlining their priorities for action relevant to water, sanitation and human settlements.

The presentation on the Expert Meeting was followed by an interactive panel discussion on Threats and opportunities of globalization for domestic firms in developing countries .

Following the discussion, the Co Chair proposed, and the meeting agreed, to forward the draft decision to the Seventeenth Meeting of the Parties in square brackets.

h. The seventeenth meeting of chairpersons suggested that the major theme for discussion at the meeting with special procedures mandate holders should be the proposals of OHCHR for reform of the United Nations human rights system, including the treaty bodies.

We are pleased that the Secretary General has provided a clear direction for discussion at the High level Meeting in September and a comprehensive package of concrete outcomes for consideration.

The meeting provided a forum for a broad discussion on information strategies to be adopted and tools to be used for their implementation in the evolving political and media environment.

The meeting took place in the context of a wider discussion among States exercising sovereignty over Spitzbergen and Greenland.

The ILO will then finalize the classification for discussion at an ILO tripartite meeting of experts on labour statistics to be convened at the end of 2007.
