Executive Direction and Management (EDM) comprises the functions and staff of the Executive Secretary, who has the responsibility for the overall management of the secretariat, for providing guidance on strategic issues and for high level representation.

In the executive branch there is a ministerial level National Youth Commission.

It should be recalled that the Executive Office has only two staff members at the Professional level the Executive Officer and an Administrative Officer (Human Resources Officer) to carry out administrative duties and budgetary and finance functions for the Fund's secretariat and for the Investment Management Service.

Similarly, centrally controlled expenditures are now requested under Executive Office rather than Office of the Chief Executive Officer or Information Management Systems Service.

The President of the Provincial Assembly acts as the executive of the province and, as such, is responsible for the administration of the province and the management of public employment at the provincial level.
