Termination of conciliation proceedings

The conciliation proceedings are terminated

For the purpose indicated in paragraph 1 of this rule, the Committee may, when appropriate, set up an ad hoc conciliation commission.

4. A conciliation is international if

The Committee recommends that the State party conduct a comprehensive analysis of divorce cases and encourage judges to review the utilization of conciliation and to ensure that the rights of women are duly protected.

At its thirty fifth session (New York, 17 28 June 2002), the Commission adopted the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Conciliation.

It should be stressed, though, that in order to conduct conciliation procedure both parties have to agree to take part in it.
