Forty participants from 18 countries attended the workshop.

The workshop was attended by representatives of United Nations agencies with programme activities in Liberia.

The Chairperson and Rapporteur of the United Nations Working Group on Indigenous Populations also attended the workshop.

The Workshop was also attended by observers from 13 Member States, and the Holy See and experts from 12 indigenous organizations.

The group meets on a regular basis. Members of the group have also attended various workshops in the region, including a train the trainer workshop organised by CAREC and a workshop on Developing Networking in the Caribbean for PLWHA .

The first activity organized under the programme was a workshop, held on Tenerife, in the Canary Islands of Spain, in November and December 2004, attended by 40 scientists from different disciplines.

So what to do? Recently, I attended an IMF organized workshop in Beijing that brought together Chinese officials, academics, international analysts, and IMF staff to discuss how best to catalyze household consumption in China.
