Draft report on the work of the Pacific Regional Seminar

First of all, I would like to express my appreciation for the circulation of the draft report.

With the assistance of the secretariat, work has already begun on the preparation of the draft report.

The Authority recently received the second annual progress report on the Kaplan Project.

The Rapporteur, Mr. Levan Lomidze (Georgia), introduced the draft report to the Board.

At the time of the submission of this report the Riigikogu is discussing the Witness Protection Bill.

The Security Council will hold a meeting of Heads of State and Government on Wednesday, 14 September 2005, at 11.20 a.m. in the Security Council Chamber, in connection with the agenda item Threats to International Peace and Security .

The present report could not be submitted prior to the deadline due to the need to obtain comments of the Department of Peacekeeping Operations on the draft report.

A draft report was distributed to members of the Board in August for their comments the final report contains comments received.

Consideration of the draft report of the Security Council to the General Assembly

7.1 The status and content of the draft domestic violence law (report, pg. 23).

At the time of submission of the present report, the Secretariat was in the process of gathering comments on the draft programme of action.

The draft report was expected to be ready during the second quarter of 2005.

While UNFPA provided a number of points of clarification and identified omissions in the draft report, it also gave detailed comments on the various chapters contained in the report.

An earlier draft of the report was circulated among a number of experts for their feedback.

The draft final report was subsequently edited according to the rules of the United Nations.

The comments of management were sought on the draft report and taken into account.

The secretariat also participated in the preparation of the MA synthesis report on desertification.

At the same meeting, the Commission adopted the draft report on its eighth session and entrusted the Rapporteur with its completion.

Draft report on the work of the Pacific Regional Seminar (A AC.109 2004 CRP.1)

Action The COP MOP will be invited to adopt the draft report and authorize the Rapporteur to complete the report after the session under the guidance of the President and with the assistance of the secretariat.

The Rapporteur introduced the draft report (E CN.7 2005 L.1 and Add.1 9).

The draft report had been submitted to the governmental bodies and non governmental organizations for their views, and then presented to the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, at which time women deputies had offered their views.

Paragraphs 70 to 76 of the draft report contained the conclusions and recommendations of the Committee. In accordance with established practice, the Secretariat would continue to update the draft report, in consultation with the Rapporteur and as necessary, in order to reflect any new developments that might take place before it was forwarded to the General Assembly.

The draft of such report shall be prepared by the Rapporteur of the Conference, who may be assisted by friends designated by regional groups.

We hope to receive its third report imminently and we look forward to the Team's mandate being extended in the forthcoming new draft resolution.

In June, the Committee discussed the Report on the High Commissioner's five commitments to refugee women, and received a presentation on Project Profile.

At the same meeting, the Sub Commission adopted the draft report ad referendum and decided to entrust the Rapporteur with its finalization.

The Security Council adopted the draft report, without a vote, and the decision was reflected in a note by the President of the Council (S 2005 582).

That amendment had found its way into the draft report for the current year's Seminar, although the issue had not been discussed.

The Meeting had before it the draft report on new and emerging technologies, applications and initiatives for space related inter agency cooperation.

The Conference adopted the present report on the basis of the draft report which had been circulated during the meeting, as amended, and on the understanding that finalization of the report would be entrusted to the Rapporteur, working in conjunction with the secretariat.

The draft resolution reflects our agreements, many of the provisions of which are directed towards the implementation of the recommendations of the main report of the Forum on the legacy of Chernobyl.
