The Office of the High Representative provided technical support to link prosecutors throughout the country, enabling them to share experiences and strategies in dealing with the most difficult cases involving organized crime and corruption.

But, until the CMIM and AMRO are fully developed, their close cooperation with the IMF is desirable. Indeed, at the Cannes G 20 Summit in November 2011, leaders agreed on principles for cooperation between the IMF and regional financing arrangements, including open information sharing and joint missions.

During the implementation of the current joint workplan, the exchange of information continued between OHCHR, the Office of the Special Adviser on Gender Issues and Advancement of Women and the Division for the Advancement of Women of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs.

But the most frequently occurring common feature in the cases above (and, it seems, in cartel cases everywhere) is bid rigging on sales to government agencies.

Their presentations, followed by open exchanges with United Nations communicators, provided unique insights on issues of current concern and promoted understanding and agreement on strategic responses.
