A summary of the discussions and conclusions will be reflected in the report of the IGWG to be submitted to the Commission on Human Rights at its sixty second session.

D. Catalysts and obstacles in the implementation of the proposals for action of IPF IFF

Report of the Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting

In addition to providing substantive inputs during the IGWG discussions, OHCHR organized two technical consultations to provide expert advice to the intergovernmental process.

The seminar will take place from 16 to 20 January 2006, during the first part of the two week session of the IGWG.

IPF and IFF agreed on over 270 proposals for action for sustainable forest management.

Having taken note also of the creation of an International Working Group at ministerial level ( the International Working Group ) and of a day to day mediation undertaken by representatives of the international working group ( the Mediation Group ),

CPF members have also taken action to make the IPF IFF proposals more readily understandable in national and regional contexts.

Welcoming the establishment of the high level task force, within the framework of the Working Group on the Right to Development, with the objective of assisting the Working Group to fulfil its mandate as contained in paragraph 10 (a) of the Commission on Human Rights resolution 1998 72 of 22 April 1998,

This process was set up to implement Intergovernmental Panel on Forests proposal for action 27 (c).

One major group points out that national forest programmes are a constructive tool for translating relevant IPF IFF proposals to the national level.

In other words, the Working Group used LOAC IHL.

As one of the mandates of the IGWG is to prepare complementary international standards to strengthen and update international legal instruments against racism, the issue has been discussed during all three of its sessions.

The Open ended Working Group is expected to consider the findings of the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change IPCPC TEAP report as it relates to actions to address ozone depletion and make recommendations to the Meeting of the Parties as appropriate.

A large number of countries have national forest programmes or equivalent processes that take account of relevant IPF IFF proposals.

These countries also said they are involved with the IPCC to gain a better understanding of the current situation and future prospects of climate change.
