C. Status of Office of Internal Oversight Services recommendations

We decide that internal oversight shall be strengthened by focusing the expertise and resources of the Office of Internal Oversight Services and by increasing the capacity of the Office to carry out its functions.

OIOS found little evidence of that.

Furthermore, the Office of the Under Secretary General provides strict quality control over the reports of the Office of Internal Oversight Services to the General Assembly, oversees resource utilization and acts as a focal point for performance management and for monitoring compliance with recommendations of the Office of Internal Oversight Services.
