Contributions to the Implementation of the Outcome Document Beijing Platform of Action

A specific and unified strategy needed to be adopted to ensure implementation of the final documents of the Durban conference.

Their report, presented at the closing session of the Conference, also formed part of the documents to be circulated.

As the CTBT would halt further proliferation or enhancement of nuclear weapons by prohibiting explosive testing, so would an FMCT turn off the tap of fissile material required for the production of such weapons in the first place.

Unfortunately, this issue was not included in the 2000 outcome documents, despite its overwhelming importance to Indigenous women.

It is hoped that this overview will assist the Preparatory Committee in formulating specific recommendations and proposals in the expected final documents of the Conference.

One of the notable points of the final documents of the High level Meeting of last week is the firm and unambiguous condemnation of terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

Lastly, he asked whether the State party was disseminating its report and the Committee's concluding observations in the media, on government websites, in public libraries and in parliamentary records and libraries. Could the report and concluding observation be obtained free of charge or at a low cost?
