Statistical indicators are useful for measuring inequality.

One issue that has caused much contention at recent sessions of the Statistical Commission is the indicators associated with Goal 8.

The classification, as it is, does not address many issues from the list of statistical data or identified in gender issues indicators.

An important contribution to building national statistical capacity is the Organization's work in providing technical assistance to national statistical offices and training of national statisticians in the production and use of indicators.

Statistical indicators show that in decision making positions, starting with local and up to the republic level, gender Equality is totally violated.

Concerning the capacity building needs of the NSOs of the developing countries, the meeting had agreed that, following the establishment of a list of core indicators, there was a need for specialized training for ICT measurement.

Its more concentrated population and more easily accessible health care system have given this region better health indicators than the rest of the country.
