Participation in political science and theory of management refers to direct public participation in political, economical or management decisions.

Information technology management, though a more recent addition to managerial activities, is now crucial to effective planning, evaluation and decision making.

In an effort to enhance accountability by reporting more effectively on the implementation of recommendations made by the oversight bodies and by providing analyses of the decisions made by the United Nations Administrative Tribunal, the relevant functions of the Department of Management were rationalized and consolidated.

The Administrative Appeals Tribunal, established by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal Act 1975 is an independent body whose function is to review decisions made by Federal Ministers, authorities and officials under more than 200 acts of the Federal Parliament.

Legal texts listed in article 5 are this Law, procurement regulations and administrative rulings and directives of general application in connection with procurement covered by this Law, and all amendments thereof.

The review, however, is also intended to serve as a management tool for the International Labour Office to enable it to implement more effectively the policy decisions and management practices adopted by the Governing Body.
