The results of the survey will be one of the inputs to the CGE report to the SBI at its twenty fourth session on ways to improve access to financial and technical support.

(c) To provide support for the continuation and strengthening of practical training programmes for broadcasters and journalists from public, private and other media in developing countries

The CGE also ensures that representatives of other expert groups take part in the hands on training workshops it has organized.

Scope of the note This note contains the report on the fourth meeting of the CGE under its revised guidelines held in Maputo, Mozambique, on 14 and 15 April 2005.

It also contains the reports on the CGE hands on training workshop on vulnerability and adaptation (V and A) assessments for the Africa region held in Maputo, Mozambique, from 18 to 22 April 2005, and the CGE global hands on training workshop on mitigation assessments held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 26 to 30 September 2005.

Global hands on training workshop on mitigation assessments

This document contains the report of the activities of the Consultative Group of Experts on National Communications from Parties not included in Annex I to the Convention (CGE) relating to the implementation of its activities during the period April to September 2005.

We also continue to provide practical support to the Palestinian people through our aid programme.

The training materials on GHG inventories and V and A assessments were developed prior to the workshops and used at these training workshops.

The advantages of mentorships are that hands on training over a period of several months can be provided and, during that period, a much clearer picture can be obtained of local obstacles to enhanced international legal cooperation.

That is already being done in practice.

The SCA mission is to build a new generation of conservation managers by inspiring lifelong stewardship of the environment and communities by engaging high school and college age volunteers in hands on service to the land.

These are connected to World Bank projects (programmes for retraining demobilized soldiers, and support for economic strengthening of returnee families) and are focused on training and financial support for development of farming and craftsmanship services.

The global hands on training workshop on mitigation assessments was held from 26 to 30 September 2005 in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

The chief of the Field Support Service will directly manage and supervise the work of the Training and Standardization Section and of the Critical Incident Stress Management Unit.

It is important to stress the problems inherent to craft fishing, to provide financial support, and to support capacity training, including the transfer of technology.

At the twenty fifth meeting of the Open ended Working Group, the Parties considered both the report of the expert workshop and the draft terms of reference that had been prepared by the Secretariat for the study noted above.

In practical terms, most supportive tasks of the secretariat consist of analytical work and advisory services on a variety of policy and substantive matters and processes.

The training and restructuring programme continues to rely heavily on international support and will need additional resources if it is to be completed on schedule.

(c) Specialized training of criminal justice officers in the practical application of national legislation emanating from the universal legal instruments against terrorism is an essential requirement for advancing the implementation of national counter terrorism measures in compliance with the provisions of those instruments

EBSM assistance can include support for training, work experience, self employment and job search.

In 2004, 43 percent of those receiving support services participated in educational or training programs.

9.3 Exercise of women's rights in practice

He informed the Commission that the Committee had decided that, in the light of the completion of the first edition of the training manual as well as previous input and decisions of the Commission pertaining to matters of training, the Committee would provide support to the training courses organized by the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea.
