The Advisory Committee discussed the INSTRAW strategy for ensuring its viability and financial sustainability with the Director of the Institute.

Global Wildland Fire Advisory Group. The Wildland Fire Advisory Group of the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction has been working towards enhancing international cooperation and collaboration on preventing and combating forest fires.

The strategy paper prepared by the team was well received and supported by the Executive Board, the Executive Team and the HDRO statistical advisory panel.
