How could you do that having slept with one another , and when they had taken a solemn pledge from you ?	وكيف تأخذونه أي بأي وجه وقد أفضى وصل بعضكم إلى بعض بالجماع المقرر للمهر وأخذن منكم ميثاقا عهدا غليظا شديدا وهو ما أمر الله به من إمساكهن بمعروف أو تسريحهن بإحسان .

He said , I will not let him go with you until you give me a solemn pledge by Allah that you will surely bring him back to me , unless you are made to perish . When they had given him their solemn pledge , he said , Allah is witness over what we say .	قال لن أرسله معكم حتى تؤتون موثقا عهدا من الله بأن تحلفوا لتأتنني به إلا أن يحاط بكم بأن تموتوا أو تغلبوا فلا تطيقوا الإتيان به فأجابوه إلى ذلك فلما آتوه موثقهم بذلك قال الله على ما نقول نحن وأنتم وكيل شهيد وأرسله معهم .
He said , I will not let him go with you until you give me a solemn pledge by Allah that you will surely bring him back to me , unless you are made to perish . Let us therefore write another solemn pledge on this occasion, to put forth honest efforts and to take the necessary steps to reform the United Nations so that it can truly serve the purposes for which it was intended.	فلنكتب إذن عهدا جليلا آخر بهذه المناسبة، بأن نبذل جهودا أمينة وبأن نتخذ الخطوات الضرورية لإصلاح الأمم المتحدة حتى تتمكن حقا من خدمة المقاصد التي أنشئت من أجلها.
