The Committee noted that the United States had endorsed the IADC space debris mitigation guidelines and that its domestic agencies were implementing debris mitigation practices consistent with them.

I am convinced that this is a misguided strategy not only because of the uncertainty about the dangers that global warming might pose, but also because of the certainty of the damage that these proposed policies aimed at mitigation will impose.

Agriculture was cited as a typical sector having considerable potential not only for integration of mitigation and adaptation but also for integration of mitigation into economic and rural development.
