The share of Asia and the Pacific in UNCTAD's overall expenditures on regional and country projects decreased from 19.8 per cent in 2003 to 16.3 per cent in 2004, mainly on account of decreased country level expenditures.

According to available data, the participation of health expenditure in 2001 was 8 per cent of GDP, which was approximately KM 205 per capita annually.

This ramification is highlighted by the consistently high domestic absorption (private and public consumption and investment expenditures to GDP ratio) and the allocation switch from investment to consumption.
