My country supports the Declaration.

AJ Blogging for me is the medium through which I can convey the voice of the Mauritanians to the world and relate the history of my people and play my role in promoting the change project in my country.

As part of our commitment to the Second International Decade of the World's Indigenous People, my delegation will work with other Member States towards the submission to the General Assembly of a draft declaration on the rights of indigenous peoples.

I shall now make a statement on behalf of my own country, Malaysia.

Those are my delegation's observations preliminary to, as I said earlier, a more comprehensive and exhaustive report on my Government's views.

In my country, we have incorporated the Millennium Development Goals into our national development plan and into a discussion project we have named Visión Colombia Segundo Centenario , which will make it possible to achieve the Goals by 2015.

For proof, we need only turn to the Millennium Project report, in which the financing requirements of a country such as mine in order to attain the Millennium Development Goals are estimated at 900 million per year.

My delegation joined the consensus on operative paragraph 4 (a) of the draft resolution on the understanding that it would not be contradictory to the very religious beliefs and principles to which it refers.

First, I turn to the draft resolution on regional disarmament, which I am presenting on behalf of the delegations of Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Nepal, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, the Sudan, Turkey and on behalf of my own delegation, Pakistan.

Having a telephone in my country was a huge luxury.

When Bulgaria joined the European Union this past January, I believed that my country had finally left its repressive past behind.

Well I'm in love with my country's historical heritage.

I think I united a nation, and I just love where I come from.

My delegation sees two key areas.

My homeland, Poland, has a steady economy and a thriving media.

My delegation stands ready to share its ideas on those matters.

My delegation will spare no effort in that regard.

My country lost millions of its citizens in the war.

My country feels respect and friendship towards the Haitian people.

My country strongly supports that process and supports the present initiative.

My country attaches particular importance to the situation of victims and to the recognition of their rights.

The majority of my fellow young people live in rural areas.

In a few days, our country will be declared an illiteracy free zone.

Those are the initial views of my delegation on the report of the Secretary General.

This year's hurricane season hit my country very hard.

My country has contributed 300,000 euros to that fund.

My delegation wishes to add several observations and comments in its national capacity.

My country's fears are also great with regard to weapons of mass destruction.

As is rightly pointed out by the Secretary General, poverty and associated problems remain a major impediment to the progress of youth worldwide.

My own compatriots in Russia have died at the hands of terrorists.

In my country, drug trafficking is the main source of the financing of violence.
