As others have done, I would make reference to the Peacebuilding Commission and to the Human Rights Council.

We look forward to working together on the peacebuilding commission, the human rights council and reform of the Secretariat.

The close interlinkages between security, development and human rights have revealed the imperative of an integrated approach to peacebuilding.

The proposed Human Rights Council and the Peacebuilding Commission will be crucial to the promotion and protection of the rights of women.

That is why Italy strongly supports the establishment of the Peacebuilding Commission and of the Human Rights Council.

We welcome the proposal for enhancing the Organization's peacebuilding capacity by establishing the Peacebuilding Commission to bridge the institutional gap between the end of conflict and the resumption of sustainable development, as well as the proposal to enhance the Organization's capacity for the promotion and protection of human rights by establishing a standing Human Rights Council.

The Armenian Government was continuing to work on building a democratic society and promoting respect for human rights.

Progress has continued towards the building of national capacity in human rights protection, monitoring and reporting.

Rights based approach combines many different concepts of international development, such as capacity building, human rights, participation, and sustainability.

Capacity building is vital to ensure that the necessary standards of fair trial, independence and full respect for human rights are complied with in national trials.

UNOGBIS has continued to promote the respect for rule of law and human rights.

Upon request the Committee was provided with the distribution of international and national human rights staff across the regional offices.

To that end, we will focus on strengthening national capacity building of our human rights institutions and will comply with all of our international obligations.

Their decision appears to be triggered by a report released by the non governmental organization Human Rights Watch.

But of course it needs to take place in the context of capacity building with those jurisdictions, and with full respect for the human rights of the indictees.
