The Team appeared before the Working Group established pursuant to resolution 1566 (2004) to discuss terrorism and sanctions.

I have the honour to forward the report of the working group established pursuant to resolution 1566 (2004) (see enclosure).

It also had further meetings with the Monitoring Group established pursuant to resolution 1519 (2003) on Somalia in relation to the arms market in Mogadishu and regional financial flows, and met the Panel of Experts established pursuant to resolution 1579 (2004) on Liberia to discuss the movement of precious commodities.

I have the honour to transmit a letter dated 14 December 2005 from the Chairman of the working group established pursuant to resolution 1566 (2004) addressed to the President of the Security Council (see annex), transmitting a report of the working group established pursuant to resolution 1566 (2004).

The Security Council also invites the three Committees to continue cooperation with the working group established pursuant to resolution 1566 (2004).

To that end, the value of close cooperation and information sharing among the 1267 Committee, the 1566 working group, and the CTC was underlined.

The Committee will continue to enhance the cooperation with the Committee established pursuant to resolution 1267 (1999) concerning Al Qaida and the Taliban, the Committee established pursuant to resolution 1540 (2004) and the working group established pursuant to resolution 1566 (2004), including where appropriate with the respective groups of experts.

They encouraged the Committees to increase cooperation among themselves and also with other United Nations bodies, including with the working group established pursuant to resolution 1566 (2004).

In accordance with paragraph 8 of Security Council resolution 1526 (2004), I have the honour to transmit herewith the second report of the Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team established pursuant to that resolution.

Having examined the report of the Secretary General, the report of the Ad Hoc Committee established by resolution 51 210 and the report of the Working Group of the Sixth Committee established pursuant to resolution 59 46,

In accordance with paragraph 8 of Security Council resolution 1526 (2004), I have the honour to transmit herewith the third report of the Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team established pursuant to that resolution.

On 8 September 2004, the Committee met with the Group of Experts re established in accordance with resolution 1552 (2004) to oversee the arms embargo renewed by that resolution.

I would add that cooperation between the CTC and the Working Group established pursuant to resolution 1566 (2004) offers further potential for strengthening United Nations counter terrorism activities.

During the reporting period, UNMIS continued to provide logistical and substantive support to the Panel of Experts concerning the Sudan, established pursuant to Security Council resolution 1591 (2005).

The Panel decided that, in accordance with resolution 1584 (2005), paragraph 7 (h), it would rely on the information provided by the Group of Experts established by resolution 1579 (2004) concerning Liberia.

At its meeting on 5 May 2004, the Committee met with the Group of Experts established pursuant to paragraph 10 of resolution 1533 (2004) to discuss the Group's projected programme of work.

The Committee will revert to the matter of administration of justice when it considers the report of the redesign panel established pursuant to Assembly resolution 59 283.

On 17 August 2004, at informal consultations, the Council considered the report of the Monitoring Group established pursuant to resolution 1519 (2003) concerning Somalia (S 2004 604).

During its informal consultations on 19 April, the Committee held discussions with the members of the Group of Experts on Côte d'Ivoire, established pursuant to paragraph 7 of resolution 1584 (2005).

It also held discussions with investigators from the Special Court for Sierra Leone and continued to meet the Group of Experts established pursuant to resolution 1533 (2004) on the flow of arms to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

On 23 August 2004, the Chairman of the Committee transmitted the first report of the Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team established pursuant to resolution 1526 (2004) to the President of the Security Council (S 2004 679).

This contravenes the principle of non discrimination, particularly on grounds of ethnic origin or country of origin.

We hope that the working group established pursuant to resolution 1566 (2004) will earnestly set out to reach an understanding on the ways and means to move the Council's counter terrorism agenda forward.

On 15 March, at informal consultations, the Council considered the report of the Monitoring Group established pursuant to resolution 1558 (2004) to investigate violations of the arms embargo (S 2005 153).
