E. Activities of the Forum secretariat within the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the United Nations Secretariat

As the Department of Economic and Social Affairs is currently developing a strategic plan to address these issues, the Forum and its secretariat (as one of the divisions of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs) should consider taking the opportunity to exercise a key role in the area of natural resource management.
