The Geneva Migration Group (GMG) offers an informal mechanism bringing together the heads of six agencies, each of which carries some responsibility for issues with a bearing on migration.

Decides, in order to improve and rationalize the funding mechanism following the adoption of the annual programme budget, that the ad hoc Committee of the General Assembly may be convened as from 2001 at Geneva, the headquarters of the Office of the High Commissioner.

The First Geneva Convention, for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded in Armies in the Field, is one of four treaties of the Geneva Conventions.

Pursuant to our commitment to give greater priority to human rights in the work of the United Nations and to strengthen the human rights machinery of the organization, we decide to establish a standing Human Rights Council as a subsidiary organ of the General Assembly to be based in Geneva, in replacement of the Commission on Human Rights.
