They said The penalty for it ! He in whose bag ( the cup ) is found , he is the penalty for it .	قالوا جزاؤه مبتدأ خبره من وجد في رحله ي س ت رق ثم أكد بقوله فهو أي السارق جزاؤه أي المسروق لا غير وكانت سنة آل يعقوب كذلك الجزاء نجزي الظالمين بالسرقة فصرحوا ليوسف بتفتيش أوعيتهم .

He in whose bag ( the cup ) is found , he is the penalty for it .	قال إخوة يوسف جزاء السارق م ن و ج د المسروق في رحله فهو جزاؤه . أي يسل م بسرقته إلى م ن سرق منه حتى يكون عبد ا عنده ، مثل هذا الجزاء وهو الاسترقاق نجزي الظالمين بالسرقة ، وهذا ديننا وسنتنا في أهل السرقة .
but if it bears thorns and thistles, it is rejected and near being cursed, whose end is to be burned.	ولكن ان اخرجت شوكا وحسكا فهي مرفوضة وقريبة من اللعنة التي نهايتها للحريق

So is one whose breast Allah has expanded to accept Islam and he is upon a light from his Lord like one whose heart rejects it ? Then woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah .	أفمن شرح الله صدره للإسلام فاهتدى فهو على نور من ربه كمن طبع على قلبه ، دل على هذا فويل كلمة عذاب للقاسية قلوبهم من ذكر الله أي عن قبول القرآن أولئك في ضلال مبين بي ن .
So is one whose breast Allah has expanded to accept Islam and he is upon a light from his Lord like one whose heart rejects it ? Then woe to those whose hearts are hardened against the remembrance of Allah .	أفمن وس ع الله صدره ، فسعد بقبول الإسلام والانقياد له والإيمان به ، فهو على بصيرة من أمره وهدى من ربه ، كمن ليس كذلك لا يستوون . فويل وهلاك للذين ق س ت قلوبهم ، وأعرضت عن ذكر الله ، أولئك في ضلال بي ن عن الحق .
Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece let no lot fall up on it.	لذلك هكذا قال السيد الرب. ويل لمدينة الدماء القدر التي فيها زنجارها وما خرج منها زنجارها. اخرجوها قطعة قطعة. لا تقع عليها قرعة.
There is no point in belaboring whose pain is greater or whose root cause is deeper.	ومن كان جذر مشكلته أعمق من جذر الآخر.

Do you not see how Allah has given the example of a good word ? It is like a good tree , whose root is firmly fixed , and whose branches reach the sky ,	ألم تر تنظر كيف ضرب الله مثلا ويبدل منه كلمة طيبة أي لا إله إلا الله كشجرة طيبة هي النخلة أصلها ثابت في الأرض وفرعها غصنها في السماء .
Do you not see how Allah has given the example of a good word ? It is like a good tree , whose root is firmly fixed , and whose branches reach the sky ,	ألم تعلم أيها الرسول كيف ضرب الله مثلا لكلمة التوحيد ( لا إله إلا الله ) بشجرة عظيمة ، وهي النخلة ، أصلها متمكن في الأرض ، وأعلاها مرتفع علو ا نحو السماء
whose mouths speak deceit, Whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.	الذين تكلمت افواههم بالباطل ويمينهم يمين كذب .
it is they whose refuge shall be the Fire because of what they used to earn .	أولئك مأواهم النار بما كانوا يكسبون من الشرك والمعاصي .
Then those whose deeds weigh heavy in the scales it is they who are the felicitous .	فمن ثقلت موازينه بالحسنات فأولئك هم المفلحون الفائزون .
And those whose scales are heavy with good deeds it is they who are the successful .	فمن ثقلت موازينه بالحسنات فأولئك هم المفلحون الفائزون .
These are they whose abode is hell , and they shall not find any refuge from it .	أولئك مأواهم جهنم ولا يجدون عنها محيصا معدلا .
it is they whose refuge shall be the Fire because of what they used to earn .	أولئك مقر هم نار جهنم في الآخرة جزاء بما كانوا يكسبون في دنياهم من الآثام والخطايا .
Then those whose deeds weigh heavy in the scales it is they who are the felicitous .	فمن كثرت حسناته وث ق ل ت بها موازين أعماله عند الحساب ، فأولئك هم الفائزون بالجنة .
