Recently adopted legislation included the new Labour Law, the Law on Labour Protection, a number of regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers on employment and labour protection and the Administrative Procedure Law.

Changes in other relevant legislation on the labour market occurred in autumn 2000, with adoption of the Law on Changes and Amendments of Labour Law in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Labour Law in Republika Srpska, which introduced modern labour legislation and rescinded lay off .

The 1999 Law on Child Labour prohibited the employment of minors under 16.

The FB H Labour Law sets forth that persons cannot be placed into less favourable position based on their gender in respect to engagement, education, promotion, employment requirements and conditions, cancellation of work contracts or other employment issues.

In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to the Labour Law provisions, the lowest salary is determined by collective contracts and labour regulations.

Section 24 of the Act respecting income security provided that programs such as STM would not be subject to the requirements of the Act respecting labour standards, the Labour Code and collective agreements.

The union is concerned with the betterment of labour's legal interests through law, primarily the Labour Law, as well as monitoring the privatization process.

Laws and regulations had been amended to incorporate a gender perspective they included the law on land ownership, the law on marriage and the family, labour law and the law on the land use transfer tax.

The law does not establish specific requirements for entry into the diplomatic service based on sex.

The Committee noted that section 123 of the Regulations implementing the Organic Labour Law states that anyone wishing to obtain employment and who has family responsibilities must, all things being equal, be preferred by the employer under the terms of section 29 of the Organic Labour Law .

Even though the existing labour legislation is adjusted to the requirements of a market economy, in practice it includes discrimination on an ethnic, age and gender basis.

The Law Faculty of the University of Latvia provided classes on the Convention as part of its international law and labour law courses, and the Riga Graduate School of Law offered a short course on the Convention for students studying international human rights law.

Article 19 of Chapter 6 sets up liability for the violation of the requirements of this law.

The newly drafted Labour Law introduced specific definitions of direct discrimination, harassment (including sexual harassment) and indirect discrimination in line with the recent case law of the European Court of Justice.

If parties chose to derogate from the draft convention's provisions on form requirements, they should be free to do so, since the underlying legal requirements would be set forth in domestic law.

With the primary objective of human safety, the new law institutionalizes various preventive measures by making them legal requirements.

The law on gender equality was promulgated on 30 July 1946, following which the Constitution, the labour law, the education law, the public health law and other legislation and regulations were adopted to consolidate the legal and institutional system to prevent discrimination and protect women.

Nothing in this Law, except article 5, shall be applied so as to exclude, restrict or deprive of legal effect any method of creating an electronic signature that satisfies the requirements referred to in article 6, paragraph 1, or otherwise meets the requirements of applicable law.

It hoped that the Government would use the ongoing revision of the Labour Code as an opportunity to bring its legislation into full conformity with the requirements of the Convention.

While there had been some instances in which migrant domestic workers had been exploited, such women were fully protected by Irish labour law.

Distinctions made in the sphere of labour that are due to requirements that are inherent in a given type of work or to a special concern of the State about individuals who need enhanced social protection (women, minors, disabled persons) are not regarded as discrimination (article 7 of the Labour Code).

The latter includes competition law, labour laws, consumer safety regulations and product standards, as well as measures to convert informal activities into taxpaying entities.

Moreover, women's rights and gender equality were integrated into annual courses on family, labour and social law attended by district and regional court judges.

Every year training is organized for engineer officers to study the provisions of international humanitarian law and the requirements of the Protocol.
