Whilst there is no existing policy prohibiting sexual harassment in the workplace, the Vanuatu Teachers Union does have a policy against sexual harassment in place.

Protection against harassment in the workplace

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science does however pursue an overall policy on preventing sexual harassment and sexual abuse.

It seems strolling through the halls of government can be just as upsetting as walking down the street for women in France because of the sexual harassment, workplace discrimination and gender based violence they experience there.

The adoption of a law on sexual harassment in the workplace and the systematic revision of curricula and textbooks to remove stereotypes were welcome, and Ireland's next report should detail the results of those two efforts.
