It should be recalled that the Executive Office has only two staff members at the Professional level the Executive Officer and an Administrative Officer (Human Resources Officer) to carry out administrative duties and budgetary and finance functions for the Fund's secretariat and for the Investment Management Service.

Five regional offices are to be established, at Mogadishu, Baidoa, Garoowe, Hargeysa and Kismaayo, each fielded by one Political Affairs Officer (National Professional Officer), to gather information and allow better understanding of regional and local issues affecting political developments.

The conversion of a Professional post at the P 4 level is requested for the Information Technology Unit for the performance of the functions of Technology Officer.

At the same time, there are 25 newly established national programme officer posts in the field offices, and thus the total increase in Professional posts amounts to 23.

The conversion of a Professional post at the P 3 level is requested for the Information Management Systems Service for the performance of the functions of Contracts Officer.

We recall that for the biennium 2004 2005, the Court had specifically requested a modest expansion of its Computerization Division, with the employment of an additional professional officer.
