The Netherlands Nationality Act also gives minor children improved status in the granting of Dutch nationality by means of naturalisation.

The Committee commends the entry into force of the Act of 24 July 2001 amending the Luxembourg Nationality Act of 22 February 1968 by easing the conditions for obtaining Luxembourg nationality.

Article 6 of Law No. 149 (Nationality Act of 1992) provides that Nicaraguans, whether male or female, who are married to aliens shall retain their nationality even if they acquire the nationality of their spouse in accordance with the law of the spouse's country, provided that they do not expressly renounce their Nicaraguan nationality.

The Pakistan Citizenship Act 1951 was amended to give children of Pakistani women married to foreigners the right to Pakistani nationality.

Under the British Nationality Act of 1981, British Overseas Territories citizens from Gibraltar are, upon application, entitled to be registered as British citizens.

3. Paragraph 2 does not apply in respect of an injury caused by an internationally wrongful act of the State of nationality of the refugee.

An act on the nationality of the Niger was therefore adopted on 12 July 1961 and supplemented by an implementing decree on 28 May 1962.

A woman with Dutch nationality cannot be forced to relinquish her nationality if her spouse acquires another nationality.

Renunciation of the nationality of another State as a condition for attribution of nationality

The right of the State of nationality of the members of the crew of a ship to exercise diplomatic protection is not affected by the right of the State of nationality of a ship to seek redress on behalf of such crew members, irrespective of their nationality, when they have been injured in connection with an injury to the vessel resulting from an internationally wrongful act.
