Acknowledges the important nexus between international migration and social development, and stresses the importance of enforcing labour law effectively with regard to migrant workers' labour relations and working conditions, inter alia, those related to their remuneration and conditions of health, safety at work and the right to freedom of association

The Committee requested the Government to provide information on the functioning of the Labour Relations Board and the Advisory Board to the Minister of Labour and Human Welfare, indicating whether these bodies have given any consideration to the issue of equal pay between men and women for work of equal value.

Turkey sincerely believes that this commission, by examining the events, will clarify the situation, thus contributing to the normalization of Turkish Armenian relations.

To my mind, the Sub Commission should seek to develop working links with organizations such as the International Labour Organization, the World Health Organization and development agencies.
