The additional rental income would in that case amount to 295,000 a year, based on a current rental rate of 106 per square metre per year (excluding the reimbursement component for maintenance services).

Estimated income falls under two categories (a) cost reimbursement for field offices and (b) miscellaneous income.

As low income households are predominantly tenants, the private sector rental stock plays an important role in meeting their shelter needs.

IS2.7 Income from television and similar services is estimated at 135,000, reflecting a decrease of 13,900, based on actual income performance data in 2004 under this item.

A number of people occupying emergency shelters are employed full time, seasonally, or part time, or have other forms of income and are unable to find affordable rental accommodation.

IFAD portfolio revenues (and expenditures) are assumed to be constant. Chrysler Building sublease income fully covers rental costs as UNOPS New York headquarters is downsized and space is sublet.

The estimated level of support cost income shows a reduction when compared with estimates for the previous biennium.

The total estimated income reflects a net reduction of 3,090,700 resulting from decreases under a number of sources.

Broken down in percentage terms, the revenue generated from the project portfolio of services is estimated at 60.1 per cent revenue generated from direct service provision is estimated at 36.5 per cent and revenue from rental and interest represents 3.4 per cent of total projected 2004 revenue.
