Europe has similarly expanded its regional bailout facility.

Europe now has such an institution in the form of the European Financial Stability Facility but the EFSF needs to be much better financed to allow it to fulfill this function.

Whither Europe?

Agreement to create both a liquidity provision facility and an insolvency procedure has implied revisiting fundamental principles not least the no bailout clause showing that Europe can learn from experience.
