In accordance with the task force's programme of work, four segments will be held during which presentations will be made by members of the task force and invitees.

A small group of experts, selected by the task force, in consultation with the Technology and Economic Assessment Panel, reviewed the drafts of the study.

In the context of CBTF, a seminar will be held jointly with the secretariat of the Andean Community (Lima, March 2005).

The ITF has met three times.

A set of tentative benchmarks, guidelines and generic indicators that can be adapted to national environments is being developed, facilitated by the Strategy secretariat and the involvement of Task Force members and national experts.

Following the Conference, as a first step in the follow up process, the secretariat conducted a broad based consultation with the Strategy stakeholders and Task Force members, and presented to the Task Force, at its eleventh session in May 2005, a set of strategic directions to assist in the implementation of the Hyogo Framework.

The task force usually comprises 14 or 15 ships.

This is the spirit that animated the task force in reaching the following conclusions and recommendations, which reflect consensus among the members.

In supporting the work of the task force the Office contacted research institutions, civil society organizations and Member States to seek inputs on their experiences in implementing the right to development in general and on the issues assigned to the task force in particular, for presentation at the meeting of the task force.

Work is in progress by a task team on substantive and programmatic issues.

The focus of current work is the Consultative Task Force on Environmental Requirements and Market Access for Developing Countries (CTF), which was launched in June 2004 (see box 1).

At its meeting in March 2002 in Estonia the Task Force representatives6 decided to include organised crime in relation to terrorism in the operative work carried out under the auspices of the Task Force cooperation.

During this time, the task force conducted normal operations in the Indian Ocean.
